http://m.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-fix/wp/2012/08/22/seniors-still/

A new Washington Post-ABC News poll shows 41 percent of Americans view the new GOP vice presidential nominee favorably, while 37 percent rate him unfavorably — slightly improved from last week’s polling.

Among seniors, though, the numbers are even better for Ryan: 50 percent favorable and 35 percent unfavorable. Fully one-third of seniors say they have a strongly favorable view of the Wisconsin congressman, while one-quarter have a strongly unfavorable view.

Well, that takes the dubious liberal wisdom and trashes it nicely.

Well of course seniors are going to like him. It's not their Medicare that's being ruined, it's mine.

And are you going to be paying less payroll taxes? Of course not!

Most voters doesn't know anything about Paul Ryan yet.  If Team Romney felt confident in how much they'll like him, they wouldn't be working so hard to limit his exposure to the press.

To be fair, Seniors aren't a crucial voting bloc.  They voted overwhelmingly for McCain in 2008.  Plus, I have several friends who are nurses and they say their elderly patients despise Medicare.

True seniors aren't critical, but the GOP can't lose voters that went their way in 2008. The critical voting block will be non-minority women 45-64. They are essentially Clinton's soccer moms of 1996 grown older.

Oh yea... cause seniors know SOOOOOOO much about Paul Ryan after one freaking week other than he's the nice, young, white man.  This place is becoming unbearable recently with this non-stop GOP circle-jerk over Paul Ryan.  Everything you people say is some variation of "great news for Mr. Romney!" or "Ryanmentum marches on!".  Absolutely no substance.  Go hit a Glenn Beck rally or something and let the adults actually analyze this race.

It took a little more than a month before Romney started to get his labels. Remember that in the first week of the Bain and tax bombs we were talking about how they were backfiring.

The same goes on the left with the posts that sound like Obama is a shoo-in.  When I call them on it, of course, they deny it up one side and down the other, but the posts don't lie.  It sure sounds like a lot of people think Obama is a shoo-in.

"adults" = "people who understand Romney/Ryan will lose seniors and everybody and the election"

If you can't discuss politics with someone who disagrees with you, then you shouldn't be on a political forum.

Well of course, Ryan paraded his old mother around for the cameras in an expertly crafted political stage in The Villages. That must mean he loves Medicare and old people!

The Republican PR efforts to cover up policy weaknesses are bordering on Orwellian.

Right because I'm really known for being a Romney hack...

If that post doesn't reek of serious desperation, I don't know what does.

No... by adults I mean someone who can contribute more to a political discussion than cheerleading for their candidate like a 12 yr old girl at a Twilight convention.  There are a number of Republicans on here recently with NOTHING to contribute in terms of policy discussion or analysis of the election.

That's like reading a book underwater man, doesn't make sense.  The GOP is confident in Paul Ryan, they're getting the supporters fired up. Get a clue.
