Why's that?

The best I see for Smith is losing by 6-8 points.
I suppose Casey's approvals are meh and he isn't cracking 50%, but I think a lot of that is that a lot of Democrats don't like his pro-life stance yet will vote for him anyway.

Polls showed the race would be competitive had Santorum entered. That would have been an interesting rematch.
