At what point do we seriously get to start calling these guys fascists? I think we're there.

Because regulating sex is more important than regulating banks, right?

GOP Platform now officially Anti-Porn.

Aaahhh... more fuel for my antihypocrite screeds.

I would be real interested in seeing the pay per view records for hotels in the Tampa area for the next three days... very interested.

As if the enforcement of laws against pornography were a major difference between fascism and its opponents during mid-century?

The most ridiculous thing is that these laws are already on the books.

Time to kick out the social cons from the GOP.  I doubt this will get any support.

I will believe the GOP when they scream about freedom of speech when it comes to money and politics and religious groups and contraception requirements, when they also stand up to defend Larry Flint (and flag burners too).

When I was like 12 I was mildly afraid that porn sites had some way of verifying your age after you clicked the above 18 button and that police would come and inform my parents or something. The GOP  could terrorize the male middle schoolers of America by making such fears actually materialize.

I would guess a solid majority of people are anti-porn - and this is another example of why I don't care for democracy.

There's a hurricane in the Gulf that disrupted everything.  Flights were canceled and the convention was shortened.

The strip clubs there are pretty a sweet. I actually dated a girl who worked at 2001 when I was in Tampa.

I wonder if those porn stars who endorsed Romney will have a change of heart now.

This is GOP's answer to bridging the gender gap.

Nah.  Here in 'murica porn "stars" from time to time leave the industry either because they "break in" to the mainstream, find Jesus, or get too fat and then turn around and talk trash about the industry that fed them for so many years.  This is in no way surprising.

Necessary pandering to the Mormon loonies. I wouldn't we surprised if Mitt had insisted on this to please the bishops.

That'll cost a lot of supporters. The GOP base loves porn. The DEM base likes it too, but they perfer reading than watching.

Just like banning abortion for rape victims, massive military spending, starting wars, and that 2003 Medicare bill.

Utah - the nation's biggest consumer of online porn - is now a tossup.

Unfortunate, but I doubt it'll lose the GOP 10 votes. Not electoral votes -- 'popular' votes.
