I’m doing this early (before Preseason Week 4 is complete) so I don’t forget it while I’m trying to move to Utah in the coming days.

I will repeat the rules of the Game.

It will, as usual, be based on the number of correct picks a poster gets throughout the season.  For tiebreakers, I am going to have the picks of the primetime games (anything starting after 7:00 pm ET) be the first tie breaker.  This Game will run all the way through Super Bowl XLVII (47) on Sunday, February 3, 2013.  The Tie Breaker Games will be marked with (*TB) and will be tallied through the entire season to help determine (if necessary) the ultimate champion.

Here is Week 1:

Wednesday, September 5, 2012

Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants – 8:30 pm ET – NBC (*TB)

Sunday, September 9, 2012

Indianapolis Colts vs. Chicago Bears – 1:00 pm ET
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Cleveland Browns – 1:00 pm ET
St Louis Rams vs. Detroit Lions – 1:00 pm ET
New England Patriots vs. Tennessee Titans – 1:00 pm ET
Atlanta Falcons vs. Kansas City Chiefs – 1:00 pm ET
Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Minnesota Vikings – 1:00 pm ET
Washington Redskins vs. New Orleans Saints – 1:00 pm ET
Buffalo Bills vs. New York Jets – 1:00 pm ET
Miami Dolphins vs. Houston Texans – 1:00 pm ET

San Francisco 49ers vs. Green Bay Packers – 4:25 pm ET
Seattle Seahawks vs. Arizona Cardinals – 4:25 pm ET
Carolina Panthers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 4:25 pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Denver Broncos – 8:20 pm ET – NBC (*TB)

Monday, September 10, 2012

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Baltimore Ravens – 7:00 pm ET – ESPN (*TB)
San Diego Chargers vs. Oakland Raiders – 10:15 pm ET – ESPN (*TB)

Cool your jets, Paco. Are you actually going to keep track of all this and post it correctly every week or can you just not control yourself enough to wait for it to happen correctly?

I will post it correctly each week.  I just wanted to get Week 1 posted now so it doesn't get lost when I'm trying to move.

Somebody else can host the Pick a Winner.

Quote from:   Martha Gellhorn for The Atlantic 1961
The unique misfortune of the Palestinian refugees is that they are a weapon in what seems to be a permanent war...today, in the Middle East, you get a repeated sinking sensation about the Palestinian refugees: they are only a beginning, not an end. Their function is to hang around and be constantly useful as a goad. The ultimate aim is not such humane small potatoes as repatriating refugees.

I'm not counting Dave Leip.  He used to be the only moderator when I first started posting here.  There were no "infraction points" or anything like that back then.  I'd just get an email message once in a while that said something like, "Please avoid drunken, emotional diatribes.  Thank you, Dave Leip" or "Please refrain from linking to pornographic websites.  Thank you, Dave Leip."

Wow only Bushie, PiT and I have picked the 49ers so far.

People don't respect teams without "franchise QBs", regardless of how good the team as a whole is. I'll go ahead and say that @GB is the second hardest game on our schedule after @NO, but this team is legit and can compete with any club, anytime, anywhere. If people doubt, then that's their problem.

Why do you fear the Saints more than the Packers?

Anyway, if homers and Bushie are the only ones picking the 49ers...great team no doubt, I had them going to the SB last year but the Packers should be favored here.
