So, in the Election of 1876, James G. Blaine was the favorite going into the Republican National Convention, but a scandal released about him eventually secured the nomination for Rutherford B. Hayes. Now, say if the scandal was never released and Blaine gained the nomination, who would you vote for. Also, who do you think in the real 1876 election would win?

And I might've voted Tilden. I think he may have won given Hayes was from the ever important state of Ohio.
