I agree that the design of the podium and general arena layout was better for the RNC. It's weird that they have the podium set up at the end instead of in the middle.

This year's design is a mess.

Of course they had more $ in 2008 and they have to spread their design budget between the indoor show and the outdoor show on Thursday.

The location is bad, in my opinion. It limited the design of a 2008-style event. Everything looks smushed together.
