4.

1 if it had been anyone else, but because of the Americans with Disabilities Act, I have to give him extra time on the exam, a special parking space in front of the store, and a free pass when he says something really, really stupid.

10 on both style and substance.

This was the best speech of the convention, so far, and was arguably his best speech ever.

Eight. It is not going to overpower other speeches, which would itself be a blunder. This is a speech to set up another one that at best is more to be remembered. He made the points that he needed to make.

It does the job. Nothing more, and nothing less.

CNN did say Biden framed his speech around 80s Republicanism.

He was statesman-like, a term I never thought would be used about Joe Biden.

Maybe the term Reagan Democrats should refer to those who supported Reagan but have since then become Democrats.

That's what you get for picturing Joe Biden as an imaginary cartoon character.  That's how he's always spoke.

Terrible. Michelle and Clinton were good. Joe was pretty horrible.

I don't know how anyone could say it was 'horrible' objectively. It was pretty good, I voted to give it a 9, although I think it was as good as Michelle's but not as good as Clinton's. pbrower hit it spot on, did the job.

I believe he said "Folks, this is a big deal" once this speech.  He didn't even know he was mic-ed up when he said that f*** line.
