Guys I'm not the one bringing up the social issues. The democrats have been hammering those all week attacking the GOP claiming them to be agents of intolerance.

Which happens to be the truth.

That's where you're wrong. In taking God out of the platform and removing Jerusalem as captial of israel from their platform they showed themselves intolerant of Christians and Jews. The last virtue in a society prior to its fall is tolerance. Unless they are Christians.

Not sure you understand what the word tolerance means.

If it's Giffords, I'll definitely be surprised.

As long as she stays off the social issues it could be good.

Be thankful she can talk at all.

I don't have a problem with the Dems mentioning God in their platform if they also include a section welcoming nonreligious Americans to their party and praising secular culture.

And maybe they will! My guess: Christopher Hitchens is the mystery speaker. The Republicans could have had a Reagan hologram, after all.

She's a democrat I do like. She's one I pray recovers to the point that she could serve again(regardless my own opinions)

Would Giffords be ready for this? I sure wouldn't. She's still hasn't fully regained speech
