Just wondering...

Of course, I'd still be a Democrat.

How well would the Libertarians do in this scenario...

I'd jump ship and join the Libertarians.

I'd support it if the Republicans became more economically leftist.  Otherwise, probably not.

Not really interventionist but stronger and tougher.

I would consider the Libertarians if they became a major party, although of course it would depend on the candidate, myself being a beiever in the person over mere ideas or movements of history. But say, a Libertarian Giuliani or Arnold could be the type I'd support; especially if the remaining GOP plays up the social conservatism thing.

Yes I would join the Libertarians in a heartbeat. I would become a loyal party member.

If the Libertarians would keep trying to get rid of the government as a whole, and instead try to keep it out of both social and economic issues instead, I would not join them, but would prefer them over the Republicans. I also think they could become a major party, although not a huge threat - like the NDP in Canada.

The NDP is a mortal threat to Liberty.  They are just plain detatched from reality when it comes to economics.

They might be if they ever got a sizeable amount of members in Parliament, but I personally can't see them getting a great deal more support than they already have.  If anything, they'd tilt the election towards the Conservatives.
