It's mind numbing how much of a prick this guy is. He isn't even trying to conceal it.

http://thinkprogress.org/lgbt/2012/09/11/831201/romneys-insensitivity-to-lgbt-people-i-didnt-know-you-had-families/

David Wilson and Julie Goodridge, two of the plaintiffs whose case led to the legalization of marriage equality in Massachusetts, described meeting with Romney to discuss their experiences. According to Wilson, “it was like talking to a robot. No expression, no feeling.” At one point, Romney remarked, “I didn’t know you had families.” Goodridge recalls her final exchange with the governor, which proved to her that he had “no capacity for empathy”:

GOODRIDGE: Governor Romney, tell me — what would you suggest I say to my 8 year-old daughter about why her mommy and her ma can’t get married because you, the governor of her state, are going to block our marriage?

ROMNEY: I don’t really care what you tell your adopted daughter. Why don’t you just tell her the same thing you’ve been telling her the last eight years.

Romney described the meeting to the press as “pleasant,” as Goodridge cried.

Romney's complete lack of empathy and inability to connect with those who are not like him are his most overwhelming and off-putting personality traits. It's the main reason he isn't leading the President by 5 points in the polls.

Q: "Hello, Governor Romney, I'm Jack and this is my partner, Mark.  Are you comfortable with our relationship?"

A: "Mittbot detects issue to be 'homosexual' and 'relationship.'  Your relationship is of no concern.    Data indicates the election is about 'economy.'  Mittbot must only talk of 'economy.'  Homosexuality is not related to 'economy.'  Conversation terminated."

Q: "But governor..."

A: "Apprehension detected.  Loading anecdote for 'gay.'"

Q: "Mitt?"

A:  "I like the movie Hairspray.  Movie studios create jobs.  Hairspray manufacturing creates jobs.  Jobs are good.  Mittbot understands."

Q: "..."

A: "Human anecdote complete. You are welcome. Goodbye."

Is this legit? Kinda seems... I don't know, too stereotypical. Like an Onion Article.

But isn't that what all opponents of Gay Marriage think, at some fundamental level? If you are someone who opposes gay marriage, there's no real way to answer an "emotional" question like that without coming across as a prick. Not that I'm defending Romney, but even as someone who supports gay marriage, at least his response is consistent with his professed beliefs.

Thats about 6 years outdated. NY, Vermont, and NH have Gay marriage now. Also, Washington and Maryland have legalized it, but it will be put in a referendum (and will pass). Maine will also put it on the Ballot, where it will pass, and RI recognizes Out of States, so RIslanders can drive 40 minutes to Massachusetts to get married. In 20 years, it will be Nationwide, whether you like it or not, prick.

that couple are probably married now because that state recently allowed gays to marry.

Gays in Iowa, New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire laugh at your map.

By the beginning of next year, they could be joined by Washington, Maryland, Maine, and California. Ironically California is the least likely because it's up to SCOTUS and not the voters.

People like you are why America is viewed as something of a "joke country" abroad. Anyways, enjoy that (outdated) map while you can because it`s changing fast.

This article is about as reality-based as the notion that the average college graduate is going to find a decent job at some point in the next four years with Obama in the White House. Give Obama four more years and we'll be the Untied States of Greece by the end of his term.

The only jobs created by gay marriages are jobs for divorce lawyers, which is probably why Obama supports it. Does anybody on here really believe Democrats care about anything other than lawyers, public unions and the money/power bestowed upon them by said entities? If it had anything to do with him really believing in it, he would have supported it years ago. Not that it matters an iota since federal legalization of gay marriage is not going to happen on Obama's watch...just like job growth, of course.

Obama 2012: No real gay marriage, no real jobs, no real hope, just fancy talk

We cannot afford to go on like this.

To be fair, David Wilson and Julie Goodridge, are hardly unbaised here.  Unless someone recorded the meeting, there's no way to know if this meeting was as unpleasant as they claim or as pleasant as Romney said it was.

Oh how I've missed you Politico. Does anybody on here, or in the country for that matter, really believe Republicans care about anything other than crazy birther nonsense, srich people, corporations, and the money/power bestowed upon them by said entities? Didn't think so.
