Let me be the first to state explicitly the obvious - astoundingly blatant racism.  How does he get away with it?

Is it racist to call someone an Uncle Tom? Since when?

It's more of a character attack then a racial one.

Do you call white people 'Uncle Tom'?

I still don't understand.

'Uncle Tom' is a term which was applied solely to African-Americans, because 'Uncle Tom' was a literary character who was an obsequious black slave.
