The first week of the Veepstakes is over, and now we're on to the Sweet 16.

Vote for 8, one in each matchup.

Some interesting matchups this week...Clinton v. Richardson [A], Webb v. Biden [F] and Nunn v. Kaine [H].

We did choose differently in some cases than the MSNBC folks, and our choices are reflected here---we chose Ed Rendell instead of Chuck Hagel, Phil Bredesen instead of Jack Reed, Chris Dodd instead of Mike Bloomberg, and Brian Schweitzer instead of Tom Daschle.

Voting closes in a week.

In the meantime, on the Republican side it's down to the final four:  Pawlenty, Romney, Jindal, and, um, Colin Powell.

My votes

Richardson - decent choice
Clark - decent choice
Rendell - Ugh, not Bayh
Edwards - could be good
Dodd - Showed some leadership
Biden - better choice, I think
Sebelius  - could be interesting
Kaine - Not Nunn

These are not necessarily my 8 favorites, but they win the matchups they were put in.

Yarr that's unfair to put Schweitzer against Sebelius.  You're basically putting the #1 dark horse candidate who has a serious, serious shot against the fan favorite!
