No, By the time Josh Romney makes his run for President, the parties might well have changed to the point that he runs as a Democrat.

Doubt it. If he does win, it'll be by 1976ish margins and we all know what happened after 1976. Hillary will clear the field in 2016 and bury Romney in a landslide.
But........... The Tea Party will probably march on the WH after President Obama wins re-election.

Perhaps if he loses the popular vote.

The question I'm more interested in:

If Romney *loses* the presidency......what will happen to Winfield's mental health?

If Romney wins the election but loses the popular vote, which is a possibility for either candidate, we'll see a repeat of 2000 with regards to protesting. Otherwise, we'll only see protests from the OWS types, who are mostly lifetime losers and/or spoiled rotten kids. Romney will graciously accept the outcome no matter what it may be (in other words, he'll ensure Obama is respectfully shown the door as we transition into an administration that will actually turn things around).

Nothing. He'll dissapear for two or three days and then he'll be back, starting "Romney in 2016" threads.

We should probably have like an IRC chat and make sure Winnie's on it. Regardless of the result.

Meh, 2012 is just one Presidential election.  If Romney loses, after another four years of Obama, the Republican candidate in 2016 will likely be a safe bet to retake the White House at that time.

Assuming of course that that candidate is not Santorum, and that is a safe assumption.

There will be large protests if
A) Romney looses the popular vote but wins the electoral college.
B) Ohio/Pennsylvania pass voter ID laws and one of those states put him over the top.

There may be some hubbub and perfunctory protests, but nothing major.  If we see a repeat of 2000, there may be some more pronounced protests, but it'll fade away sooner or later.
