(Skipping 1804 as we all know how that'd end up)
With the unpopularity of the Embargo Act and gains made by Federalists in elections earlier in the year, the party that's been out of power since Washington left office, is hoping to make a comeback. With the Democratic-Republicans splitting three ways, this may just be their chance. The Federalists are nominating their remaining standard, Charles Cotesworth Pinckney of South Carolina. Meanwhile, heir apparent James Madison faces the possibility of losing votes to rivals George Clinton and James Monroe.

Clinton/Monroe

Don't want to vote for the economic nationalist Democratic Republican, the high born elitist ticket, or a ticket with no VP Tongue
