Obama: 52%

I kinda expected it to be closer to Marquette's, but this is ok.

In PPP's Wisconsin poll last week, Obama's lead was 1%, now it is 7%. I guess Romney's 47% comments aren't going down too well.

More likely the 1% last week was an outlier, A1. While they will have some small effect, I strongly doubt they'd cause a 3% swing.

Maybe the bounce he got in WI after the selection of Ryan has worn off

Little bit of both, it looks like. Romney definitely improved in WI after early August, but PPP showed larger movement than any other pollster who did before-and-after.

This may be just 1 poll and a PPP poll at that, but I've always thought WI is just not going Republican unless Romney wins by 3% or more nationally. I suppose Mitt can't give up on it just yet but GOP's efforts are wasted here.

Of course, There might be no change.  The MOE is about 3 points.  Obama could have been up by four in the last poll and still be up 4 in this poll.

Still, I don't like the trending.
