Graham was always going to face a primary challenge in 2014. He had one in 2008 but it received little backing because the Tea Party had yet to organize. If he'd had to run in 2010 or 2012, he'd likely have lost the primary.
(Incidentally, given what happened in the 2008 Democratic primary, where basically a Paulite won the nomination instead of the favored Democratic establishment candidate, Vic Rawl's assumption that he'd easily trounce Alvin Greene in the 2010 primary was especially stupid.

It's a great disservice to singles everywhere that being unmarried is perceived as being gay. Getting rid of that old canard is one reason to be in favor of gay marriage even if you don't need it yourself.
