Niners -4 looks like free money; I guess beware of things that look too easy.

I've done it in the past.  Basically rationalize it that I'll be happy either way.  The worst is when you bet on them and they completely no show. Or even better when you travel to freezing Pittsburgh or Indy, gamble on them and they also lose a.k.a. the Trifecta of suck.

Re: Gints/Eagles. strange things tend to happen in those games. I think Giants are the better team but I can see punt run backs and other weird things happening.

Betting against the Jets is, IMO, unwise. They have the ability to defeat any team in the league, and, unfortunately, lose against any team in the league. That's just how it is. It doesn't even matter much if the game is at home or on the road for the Jets.

Law of averages man. Chances are better that Sanchez plays like crap, makes mistakes and they can't score against a very good Niners defense. A Revis less defense is also average and flawed.  I think with Darrelle out they have to take more chances and try to find anything resembling a pass rush and force some mistakes. Alex Smith is pretty good about avoiding those though. I'd personally think chances that Niners cover is probably 75-80%.  I consider that a good 'investment'.

Yep, I'm not going to gamble against them.  I want to fully root for a nice surprise.  I'll likely be up in Boston watching the game, so I really will want them to pull it out.

I'll be at Citi tomorrow to see if RA Dickie can pull out a 20th victory.   Yes, I am that desperate for positive and meaningful things from my teams.

It's tough to put into words how bad Mark Sanchez is.

the play calling was horrible early in the game (Tebow sh**t and a pass on 3rd and 1) but yeah the last few possessions have been hard to watch.

Hopefully Tannenbaum gets fired before the draft and we can pick up a new QB.  I also agree that Sparano is not good but it doesnt really matter when you can't execute the simplest plays.

I'd probably give Rex another year before Tannenbaum.  Our draft picks under Mr T have not been good. 1st rd pick Kyle Wilson is atrocious.

And what the hell just happened with Holmes.  Ugh. Fold up the tents....

Hopefully some of you out there took the gambling advice.  Free money...

I'd rather see McElroy out there now.

Jets really need to clean house. Rex Ryan is almost Singletary bad.

How many games would Niners win without Crabtree, Manningham, Davis, and Willis?

Point taken, but how many games would we lose 34-0? That's a special kind of failure, and something like that starts with the coach.

Eh, Rex isnt the one throwing INT's, fumbling the football, arm tackling or even throwing the football directly to the opposition because you are supposedly hurt, 2x....TBS, There is no doubt that Ryan got an overblown reputation as an elite coach thanks to some luck and a few key wins.   The depth on this team was never good and injuries have sunk what was already a mediocre team.

One thing I am surprised about is how bad the defense has looked. I thought the Jets were going to be good up front and improve in secondary.

Our defense hasn't been any good since 2010, except our cornerbacks and Po'uha was decent for a while.

Yes, our LB's got old and slow. Wanted to jump through the screen and punch 'Goose' when he kept saying that Bart Scott hasnt lost a step.

Pouha and Devito never make an impact play. Used to be good at stopping up the run but well...
We also havent had a pass rush since John Abraham left... I could rant forever but Ill just stop.

Time to rebuild.
