If he blows this to Summer, I may actually facepalm myself from one end of Nevada to the other.

So I guess we can safely say that Dill's support has doubled now and that King is now in the mid to low 40's. Two polls in a row with that kind of result, one of them was PPP and one of them Rassy.

The trick is to get Dill to 20%-25% range and Summers closer to 40%. The later may actually be harder then the former.

King is slipping. He needs to come out and say he'll caucus with the Democrats because he is only getting less than 20% of Republicans. The Republicans are consolidating around Summers.

That may just be what gets Summers that last 6 or 7 points. On the flip side, he may get back some of the Dems from Dill, atleast temporarily keeping him where he is.

Dill has been going after King for his right-wing positions and King has been slowly but surely bleeding Democrat support to Dill. King has been under attack from both Summers and Dill. If King says he'll go with the Democrats, he should be able to syphon back some of the Democratic support that has eroded. Maine Democrats don't want a repeat of 2010 governor election but Angus King has not given Maine democrats good enough reason to vote for him.

General request: When listing Maine polls, please put the topline in the subject. King's numbers simply don't show up if you don't.

King (I): 45%
Summers (R): 33%
Spoiler (D): 14%

King being under 50% here is of no consequence. This is not a two candidate race.

PS: 45 minus 33 is 12, not 11.
