Probably, it'd be an awesome race though.  All the scandals coming out and the debates would be great.

No one knows who would win that.  It woudl be one of the ugliest races in history.

Not to mention the politics would get down right dirty.

It would come down to who gets hit with the nastier scandal in the last week.

Nancy Pelosi V. Newt Gingrich is really scary.  Probably second scariest I've heard of next to Dick Cheney V. Hillary Clinton

Pelosi v. Gingrich is scarier...I'd be forced to vote for the moderate option, Nader.

No way!

It beggers my comprehension how such a non-entity as Nancy Pelosi is Minority House Leader. All she does is berate Bush and the Republicans on the basis of what she reads in the papers every morning

The Senate Democrats have Harry Reid as Minority Leader, what's up with the House. Is Pelosi the only person who wants the job?

Nancy Pelosi really disproves the stereotype that the Democrats are led by San Francisco liberals... oh, wait. Never mind.

She's a terrible leader.

We've got a Texas Republican as President, Vice President, and House majority leader.

I'll start praying for Pelosi to run.  I'll start a Novena.  I figure that the Dems would take CA, NY and possibly IL.  Hell, Newt could probably even beat her in VT.

Run Nancy Run!

Cheney isn't a Texan, he's from Wyoming as far as I know.

Cheney was registered in Texas before he moved to Wyoming days before accepting to be Bush's vice-president.  He served as congressman from Wyoming in the 80's

If Gingrich was nominated by the Republicans and Pelosi by the Democrats I would sh**t my pants spin around a couple times and then shoot myself in the head.

Nancy Pelosi? you mean the far left wing one who complains about terrorist's fingernails being clipped while terrorists torture US troops? or the one who would rather have social security go broke and cause a depression than having a poor san franciscan dog go without water for a few hours? or the one who has that fresh botox injection look of complete and total surprise? once the Republicans got a hold of her, they would rip and tear like no tomorrow. a few well placed commercials and rallies and she's done.

but having her as the face of the democratic party would be good for us. for a while.
