A part of America, whether on the Left or Right is prone to wild conspiracies from 9/11 being an inside job to President Obama being a sleeper agent of some unexplained plot to destroy America. No explaining is possible.

Imagine -- the CIA or FBI trying to get some agent to get his daughter to sleep with some suspected  traitor so that she can induce him to expose his seditious deeds under seduction. Really, I can't.
