Included those newbies who are guanranteed or have a good (close to 50/50) chance of becoming senator (I know Allen technically isn't a newbie but whatever)

They'll all be tea party right-wingers who do nothing but filibuster. What's there to be excited about?

For a party that hates Socialism so much, they sure enjoy acting as a collective.

This, but Jeff Flake is most likely to dissent from the party shooting money at its allies like a firehose, so I voted for him. The same way that Torie likes Tom Coburn even though some of his other positions are really difficult to support.

Contrast with George Allen, whose idea of a conservative campaign is marrying social conservative bona fides and personal viciousness with a pork barrel approach to defense spending.

I think he's getting the sarcastic vote, that's why I voted for him!

What an appalling list of people. No wonder Republicans have squandered the opportunity to capture the Senate. They suck at recruiting.

I guess I made it five. While Akin might not be the most promising of freshmen, he would he the one that is most independent of the "leadership."

Dennis Rehberg is by far the most interesting person on here. (Now, if Ted Cruz' father ran...)

Flake. I hope to see Allen elected as well, if only because it'd be nice to have some more Republicans of Jewish background. Voted for Flake, though.

Cruz has the most potential. The remainder of the list, consisting of the weird, the old, and the extreme, should embarrass Republicans.

Except Cruz is also extreme; he's a conspiracy theorist.

Flake is excellent, and I have hopes for Cruz.

Dennny Rehberg was a member of the liberty caucus... so him.

Yeah, but Rehberg is also attempting to unseat one of the best Democrats in the Senate.

None, but I'd dislike Flake the least since he has a libertarian streak and is aligned with the Dems on things like flag burning and the Cuban embargo.

It would be interesting to see how Akin would behave in the Senate...

Todd Akin wouldn't agree to filibuster any bills. He's spoken with several political scientists and they have assured him that when Democrats propose socialist legislation, the Congress has natural mechanisms to shut that down.
