Davis wins 538 to 0.  Rowland will probably be in jail

The less corrupt of the two-Rowland.  It's sad when a Democrat gets recalled in California.

Davis wasn't corrupt, he was just terribly incompetant. He was never really a rising star since he was always considered a horrible governor. Regardless I would've still voted against his recall since even a terrible Democrat governor is better than a Republican.

Davis wasn't as corrupt as Rowland, so I'll take him.  The Democrats would be dead in the midterms though.

Davis would have better name recognition.  This would kill him in this case.

Of course Rowland would win.  He is only corrupt, while Davis is both incompetent and corrupt.

Davis took kickbacks from the Prison Guards Union and spent a bunch of maney inflating their pensions while the state was broke, he took more campaign cash from Enron than even GW while Enron was screwing us on electricity, and he took kickbacks from polluters in exchange for the right to dump toxic waste on land that was supposed to be protected.

I can barely remember what Rowland did.

And oh, by the way, Gray Davis could bore you faster than a paint drying contest.

Both have major issues, however this election would come down to jailtime.  Davis isn't going to jail.  More than likely Rowland would be running as a felon

If anyone can find another corrupt Republican Governor, we can expand the race, putting McGreevy on the Democratic ticket and the other corrupt guy on the GOP ticket.

Rowland was corrupt, but he was a better governor than Davis.

Davis simply kept selling out to the political interests who support his party.  This is a form of corruption that makes Rowland's corruption look pretty petty.

I would vote for Rowland in a heartbeat over Davis.

it's not against the law. Rowland's going to be serving some time.

If you want another corrupt Republican governor for Rowland's running mate, I think there was a guy in Arizona a few years ago who was impeached, and then there's the Arch Moore guy in WV Al always mentions who was embezzling from the state.

You mean like Davis/McGreevy v. Rowland/Perry? Yeah, that'll work!
