Now I'm not so lonely, because I have a pet. Tongue

Todd, he's an English bulldog. He was a little pricey but he's so cute, I know he will be worth it.

Any other single pet owners have advice to offer?

Last year, I bought a Pug puppy that I named Peanut.

Mine is playful and housebroken, but territorial. She gets on fine with other dogs, it's people she seems to be wary of. So, my advice would be to try and socialize Todd early so he's not as wary of people as Peanut is. Of course outside of the house, Peanut is perfectly reasonable. My dog just seems very territorial.

Anyway, good luck!

He's asleep right now, I have to keep his cage dark, but tomorrow I will try to. Smiley

I like dogs, but I'm a cat person.

I adopted my little black monster from the RSPCA last year, he was already 6 months old, so I missed the mega cute kitten phase, but he's such a character and clearly has Burmese in him, because he never shuts up lol... kinda like me.

But he's super affectionate and likes people, much more like a dog than a cat.

But puppies are a LOT more work than kittens... a lot.

Congrats!  New dogs are fun...and they pee everywhere.  Crate train him, early.  It will save you headaches later.

And don't let the bleeding hearts get to you.  It's ok to not buy from the pound.  (unless you bought from a puppy mill or the mall, in which case you should be shamed publicly)  The dog that will die probably deserved it.

Nobody said anything about that. Or do you just have some urge to be an armchair expert as many threads as possible?

I don't have time for that!

edit-and the second part of my first post was just making fun of the "if you don't buy a 12 year old dog dying of cancer at the pound you're a horrible person" types.  Though I do agree one should be publicly shamed if they buy a puppy from the mall or a puppy mill.

That's so exciting! It'll be some tough work at times, but it's well and truly worth it!

There are NO jokes in this thread.  This is the most serious of issues.  New puppies are more sacred than abortion.  Tastier too!

Well, I'm very happy for you. Most of my life, I hated dogs, but my family got a little yorkie about a year ago and it completely changed me!

I learned puppies were tasty a long time ago, but back to the subject of pictures of abortions.

Cool.

Wow, I hadn't caught on to you being a troll. This is a more accurate depiction of the event:
>>Sees a sick individual
>>Calls sick individual out for being a sick individual

Could you please cite where I have claimed to be a defender of multiculturalism and tolerance? I have a problem with any culture that creates an environment where its acceptable to try to eat other's pets, or joke about such as if it would be funny.
