Running out of none Marokai bills, which will leave the Clogging provision dormant. So we may see a situation where all of the bills on the floor or close to is his crap. Tongue

Hagrid, you have 24 hours to explain this.

Obligatory Motion to Table, to illustrate this means business. Since the perpetrator responded so soon after the violation became effective, no seconds will be necessary. Tongue

Even leaving aside the potential unconstitutionality here, I think there are more elegant solutions to the problem this is trying to solve.

Mind sharing?

I didn't really get what you meant by the obligatory motion to table... Sorry, but I'm still not familiar with all these procedures.

Also, I'm waiting on some of Marokia's suggestions.

If I were to change this to an amendment, could it be done in the same thread? Also, can the title be amended, or would that imply scrapping the legislation altogether and starting from scratch (only because whatever changes we make might not even involve an election do-over)?

At the start of each bill, I give 24 hours for the sponsor to speak about the bill in substance ( popping in and talking some nonsense won't suffice). When that gets blown past, I motion to table. It is baked into the pie. Whether or not someone else seconds is dependent on how fast sponsor gets his sh**t together. Since yours was just a few hours later, I requested that no one second it. Of course, someone still could as a dillatory tactic, but I have a solution for that too, if we ever come to that.

Remember, Marokai amended his Kill the SoIA bill into an Amendment to the Constitution. Yes titles can be amended.

Well what is the story here? Is it going to be amended, or is this done?

Just ask for it, I doubt someone will talk about the contents of this bill prior to me seeing your request, considering how little people have been concerned with it.

At this point, considering it hasn't been amended, it isn't likely to become law. Either Nappy vetoes or we fail it. Since three people voted aye and no one voted Ny when I had voted, I figured the quickest way to end it would be to put it in Nappy's waste basket, instead of ours. It will also save us money on garbage expenses at the expense of the executive branch. Evil

The sponsor has 72 hours to request a veto override (I think its 72 Tongue).

I wouldn't recommend it as it only passed with 5 and I probably wouldn't vote to override the veto.
