I hope I'm wrong, but I'm worried that both candidates will stick to the talking points so strictly that this debate will be extremely boring.

That is very likely.

It is better to play it safe and hope your opponent messes up than to take a risk and hope to score.

I guess its like a boxing match, where both boxers spend more time covering up and avoiding hits than attacking.

I think alot of the forum members are expecting too much out of the debates, they might not even matter.  We will see what happens.
