Why are people in the USA so obsessed with their auto industry? It's hardly as important to the US economy as say, the financial sector. And let's be honest - you people will never be good at making cars.

While many of Mitt's jokes flop (even I'll admit that), the anniversary joke was pretty funny. Tongue

I believe Mitt won the first question.

I would imagine it's because people seem to be obsessed with cars in general.

It's a symbol. Americans love symbols. They give you hope without actually requiring you to think.

I live in a big industrial manufacturing state, the auto industry and their suppliers supports millions around here.

Wait, what was the zinger?

His attack on himself; saying that Obama was stuck with him. At least I think.

Obama knows he can't hire teachers, correct? Or really even have a say in it?

I'm incredibly nervous right now - haven't been this nervous once this campaign.

This debate is critical - I'll admit it. So far, so good.

Don't be relieved yet; we're 3 minutes in and there's plenty of time for a Perry style gaffe. I do hope it keeps going this well though.

Yeah, and a draw is a Romney win, due to the expectations game. Just so long as Romney doesn't have a "Anderson, I'm speaking" moment.

Romney's body language is interesting. Instead of looking annoyed he keeps nodding his head as if he is agreeing with Obama.

Obama borrowed from Clinton's convention speach there.  Good.
