Romney may have outperformed Obama tonight, but Obama's performance wasn't bad.  (My one qualm with Obama tonight was his complete refusal to respond to Romney's argument that he took 700 billion out of Medicare).  Romney, on the other hand, tried as hard as he could to stick on the line that he wasn't changing anything re: Medicare for anyone under 60 while not addressing the specifics of what his plan did for people under 60, which is something that implies that he finds his Medicare plan is anathema to younger people (younger in this case including people in their 50s).
Obama did respond to Romney's claim  - he said it didn't matter because those were overpayments. Granted that wasn't a very convincing response, but is there another one?
