State Election Match-ups

I'd like to try this out: how about election matchups of users in state-level elections? Anybody like this idea, and if so, where would you like to start?

How about this for the rules: for a state-level election, make a county map of the resultant between the preceding poster and another user from the same state. For primaries you can use more than one user from the same state.

How on earth was I able to carry Oakland and Macomb counties in a landslide defeat??? And how did I carry some of those other counties??? This map is insane.

Easy, peaches. I would expect Miles to underperform among minorities and upper-income whites.

This. You usually don't contest the results of these things. You kinda just go with it...

I know, but it just looked so crazy that I carried those two counties while still losing in a landslide.

Looks about right. I probably would actually underperform along the coast relative to my statewide margin because I don't have a French last name!
