I would say no, but wait until monday and tuesday first. Obama will probably be .2 to .9 on the RCP Average.

I'm thinking if it happens Romney will max out at around 0.5% ahead and then slowly decline.

Romney needs to get ahead of Obama by a decent amount now to make sure it can last for a month. I expect them pull level by Tuesday at the latest...

I just noticed that something big happened today for Romney. He hit an all time high of 47%, which is higher than when he pulled to a tie at 46.7 after the RNC. If the race settles to a tie in the next few days both would likely be higher than 46.7, maybe as high as 48% each.
But I think he will actually pass Obama this week by a little bit, which will be considered major news as it hasnt happened all year.

I'm not surprised - I always thought his absolute floor was 45% so seeing greater GOP consolidation and a second look from some indies and soft Dems should surprise anyone to see him at 47%

the highest Romney ever got was a .5% lead back when Obama's approval ratings where in the low 40s before the race was talked about. I think Romney can tie the race in the RCP, maybe even pull ahead by .1% though.

Obama is up by only .5"%. But RCP is including the wrong Gallup Tracking Numbers, they have the race tied at 47%, but Obama actually leads 50-45.

I would think the Liberals would be rather upset about this as well.

Depends whether or not RCP goes back to using the real Gallup numbers tomorrow.

This seems like it was accurate. Anyways, I don't think Romney will pull ahead of Obama yet and I don't really think he needs to. There are still two more debates...
