I can see NC, but the other two are pretty absurd, especially considering Romney's leads in them now isn't even past the margin of error or greater than Obama's pre-debate. But whatever, we're probably better off without these junk uni polls.

Surprisingly, I agree.

FL and NC might vote for Romney, but VA is highly competetive, if not more Obama than the nation.

Florida was the only state that Gore outspent Bush in. Bush knew his brother had it in the bag.

FWIW, David Paleologos, Suffolk University Political Research Center Director, said the polling showed an "overwhelming" lead for Romney in the three states.
Sure would like to see the data!

That's not actually what he said. He basically implied that they hadn't done any polling in those states after the debate because Obama was already barely ahead in them before the debate. So, according to this esteemed gentleman, that apparently means Romney is now way ahead in all of them because he's surging nationally. Also, he'll be way ahead in all of them for the rest of the campaign because these things never change obviously.

This seems to be part of the trend of not polling safe states. And if it continues in 2016, they'll probably only poll Ohio Wink

Translation: We don't really know how to poll these states nor do we have money to poll them anymore, and since I'm on your show, Bill, and trying to put on a show for your audience, I'm just going to say Romney has already won them.

Its because basically most people are fanatics here. So as soon as anything happens, they think the election slipped. We could see "Romney falls on ice" and get Obama has a clear win, then "Romney blames Obama for ice" and see Romney has it!.

If i was the Romney camp i wouldn't see this as good news because once voters in those states here that on fox news they will think Romney has there state in the bag and stay home. Good news for Obama if his voters go out and vote

I'm not responding to this, other than I don't think even politico or winfield would say this, although I wouldn't be too suprised if they did.

I don't see how anyone can say any swing state is irrevocably locked up for either candidate.  There's still four weeks to go and as the fallout from the debate shows, drastic swings can happen quickly.

KenyanObama and Obamalite are probably how he imagines Republicans. Or maybe mondale himself is a meta-sock of, say, BritishDixie.

Ed Rollins was on Fox today.  While he conceded NC was safe Romney, FL and VA are not.  This reminds me of Gallup in '48.

This is so absurd, it doesn't even really deserve a response.

Right now, it is a pure tossup.  If Ryan wins tomorrow night (which is expected) and if Romney wins Debate #2 next Tuesday, Obama could be in trouble.  However, as has been said 3 3/4 weeks is an eternity in politics and a lot CAN happen and a lot WILL happen between now and poll closing on November 6.

Who is baiting?  In 1948, Gallup stopped polling because of the "lead" Dewey had.  Truman won.

I am fairly certain Obama will win Virginia. The growth in No-VA over the last 4 years is mostly in the demographic groups favorable to Obama. This is where the ground game comes into play and it should add a couple points to his margin.

Does anyone know if VA has a history of counting votes early or late?

So far, his ground game is nonexistent in PA (I can't speak for VA).  The campaign robocalled me to work for him.
