White. But I wish it was red and think I might get it painted that one day. Take a guess why. Wink

where is the "Pelican Blue Metallic" option? I guess "blue" will just have to suffice.

Green. Would have prefered a blue one, but the dealer didn't have any in the same price range, and price came before color.

Gray.  Or silver.  Or a mix between the two.

So you guys have the socialist color. Ugh. It's too bad my car is basically a hand-me-down, whenver I buy one it's definately going to be red.

funny.  at one time we all thought red was socialist color.  now the lingo is "republican red" when you go to buy a "power necktie" from Macy's or the Men's Warehouse.  Funny how the times have changed.  Like Dave Liep's coloring scheme for D and R, which is the "normal" one for most of us over thirty, yet we use "red" and "blue" in our current vernacular to mean quite the opposite.

Bottom line, Red is neither Republican nor Democrat nor Socialist when it comes to cars and mousepads and neckties and backpacks.  It's simply an indicator of a type-A agressive alpha male.  Nothing more.  And we alpha males come in all political stripes, as evidenced by, among other things, the posts of the posters on this forum.

(it's also the color of a traditional chinese wedding dress and it symbolizes good luck and happiness.  it's also the color of Mars, which is a planet named after the ultimate Alpha Male, a god of War.)

I never thought of it that way, but I think you're right.  That must be why red is the color most associated with sports cars.  (That may also be why statistically a red car is most likely to be stopped by the cops for speeding.)

That makes me feel good about the fact that I'm painting a few rooms in my house red.  I've never had a red car, though, and I don't think I'd get one.  My preferred colors are blue, silver and dark green.

I have no vehicle. The bus I use is usually a blue-ish greeny colour.

Angus and Daz,

Actually the color I wanted for my pickup was Forest Green but my wife showed my our red truck and it had more features that I liked for about the same price as the one in the color I liked with fewer features.

Makes sense.  Unless you custom order a car, you can't always get the exact color you want.  Other things are more important anyway, as long as the car isn't lime green or pink, or some other chick color that you don't want to drive around in.

My last car was forest green.  It was so dark that at night, it could be mistaken for black.

The way things worked out it would have been impossible to get our deal if we had custom ordered it sadly. But now looking back I am thankful I didn't get a crew cab. Its a little bigger in the back but it only has 4 seats. The XLT I have has a bench seat in the front and back and can seat 6 grown adults.
