Casey (D) - 46%
Smith (R) - 44%

Even for a Republican poll, this is big.

This shows him Smith up ten in Allegheny. That just can't be.

It's too bad they don't reveal a partisan breakdown in the poll. Yes, I know, this partisan breakdown stuff in polls has become its own political football, but it still is something that we all want to know. Putting that aside, it may be the margin of error for Allegheny is huge because of a very small subsample.

I know this is a R poll, but it almost seems like Casey is trying to see how close he can make this.

Casey is basically not campaigning. Philadelphia TV has as many Bob Menendez ads as Casey ads, and Bob Menendez doesn't even really need South Jersey.

It isn't 2006 anymore and Casey has run a lackluster campaign/has been ineffective. Santorum would probably be running as well as Smith (except Smith isn't some well known polarizing figure even though Casey's campaign has tried to make him into that type).

Casey is basically not campaigning. Philadelphia TV has as many Bob Menendez ads as Casey ads, and Bob Menendez doesn't even really need South Jersey.

Even more hilariously, the NJ Republican nominee somehow has a good amount of money and has run several different ads. I've seen him more than anyone else.

Smith almost certainly needs Romney to win the state if he is going to win.
