Not watching because I have an appointment to make - but for posterity's sake, I'm predicting a Biden victory right here and now.

I think that more pressure is on the moderator tonight than either of the candidates.

Biden just has to not say anything retarded and he wins. He's in the same position Mitt Romney was last week.

Biden win.

I think Biden has to do more than not mess up. He has to make up for Obama's performance in the first one.

All the polls show that Ryan is expected to win. Biden really is a pretty fantastic debater, if you look back to the 2008 primary debates and his Senate debates. He had to hold back in 2008 against Palin, but even there he did a pretty good job. I'm feeling pretty optimistic.

I think Biden has to do more than not mess up. He has to make up for the media/political perception of Obama's performance in the first one.

Fixed.

Why do you say that like it's some kind of amazing accomplishment?

Even in my darkest hours of Obama campaign-related despair, the fact that Obama still has the support of the quintessential swing voter, Bushie, gives me hope.

Yeah, in 1984, 1988, 1992 , and 1996 they stood behind podiums. Then in 2000 and 2004 they sat behind a table. Then in 2008 they were behind podiums again. Anyone have an idea?
Nvm, apparently Biden's been practicing for 2004 format, so I guess their seated.

Biden has a lot of material he can grill Ryan and Romney on (and a lot of slack to take up for Obama) but I don't think he'll deliver.
