Will they be seated or standing at this debate?

Biden didn't do so well on the CNN lines...  First 10 minutes - Ryan win.

A couple of lines on CNN from 20 "undecided" Kentucky voters or whatever it is doesn't determine the winner.

Can we have Biden fill in for Obama in the rest of the debates? Tongue

This independent can't take Biden's BS anymore. Smug, arrogant, interrupted Ryan like 8 times.

Did you like Romney? He did the same thing to Obama and the moderator many more times.

Biden is taking Ryan to the woodshed. This is amazing.

I just wish he would stop interrupting and laughing.

Ryan is the one taking Biden to the woodshed

Umm, no.

Biden is not doing well.  He looks angry, and goofy.

Whatever you need to tell yourself.

Why is Biden being so rude? And why is "Martha" letting it happen?

Did you have a problem with Romney when he was "rude"?

Chris Matthews: "Biden won".

Yeah, doesn't matter much, but he did tear Obama up for his performance.

Izixs, my numbers were wrong, and I corrected it.

CBS NEWS SNAP POLL of uncommitted voters: 50% Biden won; 31% Ryan; 19% tie”

Relatively good.  The poll was closer compared to CNN's after the last debate.

Didn't the instant "snap poll" last time actually come out as a near-tie or something?  I recall that there was an instant poll and then some kind of follow-up poll, and the latter reflected the narrative more.  I may be wrong.

edit: I think I may be wrong...not sure what I'm remembering.

All of the snap polls last time showed Obama losing big.

Last time,
CBS was 46 Romney, 32 Obama
CNN was 67 Romney, 25 Obama

Time this,
CBS was 50 Biden, 31 Ryan
CNN was 48 Ryan, 44 Biden

CNN is consistently more GOP than CBS...

Wasn't Obama at 22% in the CBS one?

The consensus isn't quite as dramatic as it was with the Obama-Romney debate, but the talking heads definitely seem to be giving the edge to Biden so far.

CNN Polls:

Is Biden qualified to be president if necessary?

Yes: 57%
No: 42%

Is Ryan qualified to be president if necessary?

Yes: 60%
No: 38%

Who expressed himself more clearly?

Ryan: 50%
Biden: 41%

Who spent more time attacking his opponent?

Biden: 70%
Ryan: 19%

Who was more likeable?

Ryan: 53%
Biden: 43%

Odd.

Well, Biden did attack more. I don't think many people will dispute that. He needed to.

Odd.

Not really.  The tipping point are the attack ads.  If Biden had been passionate about the issues, and not attacked, he would have won.

That said, I'd be surprised if this moves the polls.

I also expect Biden to be parodied on SNL.  Smiley

CBS Poll shows a big Biden win.

CNN Polls:

Who did a better job defending his running mate?

Ryan: 49%
Biden: 43%

Who did the debate make you more likely to vote for?

Obama: 21%
Romney: 28%
Neither: 50%

I wonder how Republican the audience for this was...

More reactions:

Taegan Goddard: "Biden was more prepared, more experienced and the clear winner."

Mark Halperin: "Paul Ryan: B, Joe Biden: B-"
