Biden lost every point on substance and looked like an ass.  Ryan had the best moments of the debate and Ryan won the closing statements huge.  Biden tried to appeal to emotion when he wasn't being a weirdo, so he may have scored some points with that.

Biden slaughtered Ryan so hard it's not even funny. Ryan lost in a landslide.

It is true that the 2004 parallel continues. Bush was bleeding in the polls after his loss and that stopped after the Edwards/Cheney debate.

This basically stops Romney's rise just as the 2004 VP debate stopped Kerrymentum.

Don't count your chickens quite yet. Remember that the Vice President is effectively useless.

Biden, his performance will recapture some of the racist white working class in Ohio.

The only thing Biden didn't do was apply the lube.

Biden.  Even leaving aside the fact that he effectively ended the wailing and gnashing of teeth from the Dem base, I think he played much better in blue-collar land than Ryan did.

I highly doubt it will matter nearly as much as Romney's win, or the town hall debate.

Tweet from Ezra Klein sums up the spin

As I suspected, Biden is the subject of both sides.

As time goes by you forget the stupid emotional appeals Biden attempted, but you still remember him being a weird, clownish, ass.  I have to think that isn't good.

Ryan was serious, respectful, interested in bi-partisanship, and obviously more substantive.  I have to think that's good.

Tie.

But Biden's demeanor caused him to lose, rather than a win for either.

Joey Bids won.  More Presidential presentation.  When asked for details Ryan just killed time ... made it seem like he didn't know what he was talking about.

Biden. Ryan did as well as he could though, but he just doesn't have the charisma. He spoke very well, but lacked a certain je ne sais quoi. Biden was firery, and that's what he had to be. But, he wasn't perfect. However, he is much more charismatic than Ryan, which is interesting considering their appearances. But, Ryan's big ears did distract me a bit.

Biden in a walk - an absolute slaughter. It's a shame that it probably won't have much impact.

Biden looked so bad and Ryan looks so good that Joe probably lost women especially.  Biden might have won the union crowd, that's about it.

The Fox news pundits are focusing on how Biden was interrupting, smirking, disrespectful....in other words they think he won
