Ha. What I have to wonder is who even greenlit it in the first place.

Dane Cook should go the Howie Mandel route and become a game show or reality TV host or something.  His charismatic "comedy" would fit it better than sitcom.

Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are better comedians than Dane Cook.

Wow, that's even worse than Turn On.  That show was cancelled the day after it debuted, except at the Denver ABC affiliate, where it was cancelled halfway through the premiere.  They included a message saying, "the remainder of this show won't be seen."  Just for kicks, here's the Wikipedia article on it:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turn-On

Pretty darn bad, huh?  They decided to lock up the tapes and never show them again.  If I were them, I would've just destroyed them.

Or go to selling chicken sang-witches at the BK Lounge.

There's a story about Kerry Packer, who owned channel 9, watching a show here and part-way in calling up and saying "Get that **** off air now!"

I'm so serious Dane Cook is to comedy what cancer is to society.

I've seen Dane Cook standups on YouTube before,  he often doesn't make sense and goes off-topic, and it appears the only reason why he gets fans is because he makes strange noises.

No big loss.

Now only if they'd have cancelled The Office.  It pains me to watch it.  It's like watching your favorite pet get hit by a bus, but instead of putting it out of its misery, the guy who hit it keeps poking it with a stick.

It was a great show, too.  It just should have gone seasons ago.  Like around season 5.  It's just another example of a network taking a great show and trying to milk every last dollar out of it, to the point where it ruins the show.  Like Babe Ruth's final half-season with the Boston Braves - just go already.

That's just the way it is. I've always believed that television shows have a shelf life of good quality for about 5 years. After that, things happen. Original writers leave, the cast gets shaken up, all the good ideas have been used already, etc. At that point, a show will just be riding on fumes and living on its name. For an example, I'll cite M*A*S*H. I love the show, but after awhile it became eh... The last couple of seasons were painful. It'll always be this way. It's far easier and lucrative for a network to ride an old popular show than bank on a new hit.

Please...The Office as it stands now is light years better than Dane Cook.  Sure, it's not as good as it was in season 3, but at least Michael is still gone.
