She did ok, better than the first debater.  Obviously in the tank for Obama though.

OK.  Just OK.

Gallup did a terrible job finding undecided voters, however.  There was the college kid who asked the first question, probably the lady who asked Romney how he was different from Bush, and maybe the guy at the end.  Everyone else seemed to have made up their minds for one or the other.

Far from perfect, but also far better than Jim Lehrer. They could almost have replaced him with a cassette tape to play questions and a couple of red and green lights for time and the debate would have been exactly the same.

I thought she was terrible. It seemed more like the Candy Crowley Expo than a town hall debate. Honestly, I felt like very few people actually got to ask questions.

She was trying to turn the town hall debate into a podium debate, and it didn't work.

She helped Obama along nicely. The questions she "chose" were taylor-made for the president. Tongue

She kept control of the debate, preventing a disaster and keeping Mitt Romney from winning on something other than issues. Barack Obama got to show what he does best and Mitt Romney had to play by the rules.

Obama team was shrewd negotiating the townhall with a supporter as the moderater and question picker.   Essentially puts Mitt on defensive. Questions were 6 to 3 anti Mitt-- and one of the 3 Candy was assisting Obama. Looked like Mitt did a good job nevertheless, except maybe the Libya question.

She was exceptional and what a debate moderator should be. Pick good and topical questions, regulate the time efficiently, don't let candidates talk over you or have an out of control back and forth, and maintained, not neutrality, but objectivity. She didn't take sides between the candidates, she took sides on the truth, and that's setting right-wingers' hair on fire.

She interrupted Romney 28 times, and gave Obama 4 minutes more speaking time, and slanted all the questions to help Obama.

She fulfilled her mission perfectly.

I was surprisingly disappointed. She was a rather ham handed interferer, while not enforcing the time clock, or when she did, at the wrong times. Raditch was a better interferer. Candy should have done a Lehrer and disappeared.
