I will be honest here, Obama has the slight edge but he was constantly attacking Romney.  Romney on the other hand did great like his first debate.  So I agree it's a tie, but the bases for each side won.

Closer than I would have thought but a win is a win.

This doesn't make me very hopeful about the CNN Poll though.

This is a poll of "undecided voters" again, I suppose?

Nevada undecided and 2008 Obama focus group on FOX just gave an overwhelming victory to Romney.

Please note in 2008, the undecided groups overwhelmingly favored Obama.

When one side says its atie and the other says they won, 9/10 times the other guy wins. Do you have a link to the poll, I can't find one.

funny how you can do anything you like with stats! So the point of debate is to change minds, and clearly some minds were changed towards Obama. Thanks for pointing that out Phil!

This poll is about what I thought it would be.  Libya was the clinching moment for Obama.

Obama voters were going to claim victory regardless of what happened tonight purely because of the loss in the first debate. To say that Obama ran away with it tonight is clearly not the case.

What are "undecided voters" at this point ? 2-3% ?

Aren't those undecided voters leaning for Romney anway ? Didn't undecided voters break for McCain too ?

So any lead for Obama among "undecided voters" should be good at this point.

So? How does attacking have to do with anything? That's how Romney won the first debate.

I think this poll is more indicative of who didn't win than who won. 63% say Obama didn't win and 70% say Romney didn't win. Not a draw, but not quite a victory for either of them if you ask me...

Exactly. Obama came prepared tonight, but I don't think he made inroads.

The foreign policy debate may not be a great one for Romney if tonight was any indication.

Yes, Obama will bring down the anvils on Romney in this one.

Colorado voters give Obama a 48/44 victory in the debate- more importantly 58/36 among independents. Sample is R+3

73% think Obama did better than expected.
