Little, if any.  I would call the debate a draw.

Romney might stop gaining at 50-51
Obama might gain a point or two off his 45-46
OR
Romney hits 52+ territory.

0 to -2.

He's going to get a negative bounce from winning a debate? You people are shameless, aren't you?

Sorry people but,

I think Obama will get a 4+ or +6 because here in my town some old fogeys were gonna vote for Romney but after last night they are swinging to Obama because Romney "Screwed up big time".

Well, don't get your hopes up. I'm sure Naso has a story about his "Democratic" family members being once again wooed by Romney's charms that will counter this.

You dems really don't know anything.  The president came in behind, lost on the substance of every important issue, failed to outline a vision or a reason to reelect him, failed to rebut the challengers case that he is a failed president with no plan(specifically on the economy, the #1 issue), committed a major gaff with the Libya thing (Again).  He may have won on points(by being overly aggressive and annoying people), but Romney will win votes and Obama will lose votes, which is kinda the point.

Romney +2

How would Obama get a bounce if he didn't win the debate?  Smiley

Seriously, liberals believe that being angry and agressive = winning.  That must be the bar they believe Obama has to clear.

Romney forcefully prosecuted the president on economic issues, for which the president, again had no answer for.  Candy Crowley and the pres were caught lying about Libya to which she equated to the symantics of Romney using certain words, but was correct about "the main" or his main point.  And that point was that Obama covered up Libya with the YouTube video.  My lord they pushed the damn thing for days.  Even Jay Carney kept saying, go to the video, its the video, its the video.

Obama also lied about permitting on federal lands.  I mean, Romney won in the first question with his straightforward and caring answer to the young college student who was clearly excited about what Romney said.  When Obama answered the college student, he got in his face and you could see it on television.  I don't believe for a second Americans liked that.  The poor kid was moving back from him and looked frightened, go rewatch that scene.  And yes, I'm aware of the article posted about the young man and that he has made his decision.  He had very politically polite words for the president and was jubilant about Romney.

Indeed. It's one thing to say Romney won the debate for you personally. It's another thing to say that he won it in the mind's of most others and will get a bounce out of it (WTF?) when literally every public poll shows that Obama won it (despite the fact that they reflected a very Republican-leaning audience).

Some of these people are completely detached from reality. I'm not sure if there's any hope for them.

That's too many 'fors', nhm.  Unless you're doing a kind of schtick about being brain-dead Republican hack, in which case it is a nice touch to use poor grammar.

0 to +2, probably leaning lower if its considered a tie. It's not a Romney win, to be sure.

You mean we'd be muted, depressed and despondent.  You mean we would have no hope left.  Well, you're right.  At least that reaction is better than the left rioting if Romney wins.  Under Obama, the country would be finished and you too would be a beneficiary of the great sweeping destruction of the country.  Just wait till you hold the hand of a friend or family member as they die in a hospital waiting room or receive crappy care due to the changes in the healthcare system coming.  Just wait until one of our big enemies, Russia or China, obliterates us in a moment of weakness.  Just wait as you find you are being watched more closely by the government through cameras and tracking devices or perhaps even bodily chips of some kind.  Just wait till you find your own personal choices begin to diminish.  You see, despite the way you guys oppose us, I care about liberals too and I care what's going to happen to them too.  It won't be pretty.  Life will be more difficult for all of us than it ever was before.  Perhaps we deserve it though.  Perhaps we have given our values away to the point that someone like Obama, the rider of the pale horse, has been able to slip in and finish us off.

Exactly what would he have to say that would count as a "vision for a second term" to you?

Everyone on this forum is guilty of using poor grammar.  It is a forum, not a college paper.  Some people say:  That game is addicting.  It's actually incorrect to use that phrase.  Instead, the correct phrase would be: That game is addictive.  Yet people use the phrase all of the time and no one other than the most annoying people correct them for using it.

No idea. I don't agree with what hacks are saying, but the bounce will probably only stop the bleeding.

This is the best answer.

It could be as big as 2 points, or there could be no bounce at all.
