It was obvious throughout the debate, via her deference to Obama as opposed to Romney, her choice of questions, and in particular her interruption of Romney with her "correction" (which she now admits was wrong) of him.

In addition, whenever things were going bad for Obama, she very obviously bailed him out.

Pretty much everyone saw that, and do you think most saw that as "Obama can't handle this himself, so they need to make it 2 on 1", or did most of the undecided miss that?

Correcting Romney on Libya (that's not the moderators job), choosing the Bush question (this isn't 2008), allotting Obama more speaking time, asking about contraception, "speak to the idea of self-deportation." I'm not usually one to talk about the biased in the media because I think both sides have their people, but some of these questions just seemed too convenient. The Libya question was perfect for Obama because he clearly was not going to blame Hillary on national tv. It allowed him to seem in charge and be "the president" which is something he couldn't do in the last debate.

Of course, Romney blundered the Libya question terribly, which was not her fault, but it was clear Cowley wasn't the most impartial moderator ever.

No, she didn't help Obama.

But the bitching by Republicans is helping Obama.

Of all the questions, I actually thought the Bush question was the most unwarranted. She should have picked questions that both candidates could have equally gained from. Romney had to answer the Bush question and then, if I'm not mistaken, Obama got equal time on it.

So Romney had to play double-time defense there.

She has not "admitted she was wrong" because she was right. Why are Republicans this desperate?

Hey Rockhound go back to your doctor and tell him he gave you the wrong meds. Because you just woke up talking crazy. Was it that nightmare got you asking crazy questions because Romney failed on explaining on national television. And you can't fix it because the 2nd debate is over. And btw Obama is the commander in chief he does not need anyone's help OK. Obama won hands down.

She kept Mitt Romney from taking over the debate, but that was a minimum standard of fairness. That was all the help that President Obama needed. After what happened in the first debate, such was necessary.

I guess you are going with "it helped Obama".

Does that mean I can use Lehrer as a cheap scapegoat for the first debate?
admittidly the bush question was unfair, but not to the extent where it would decide the debate.

It's very hard to argue that she helped Obama, considering her statement above.

The Bush question most certainly is relevant because he was the last GOP president, and it's assumed Romney wants to return to his policies. I was disappointed that Candy was not harder on Romney, he acted like a pathetic child last night with his constant overstepping the rules, not to mention his complete disrespect towards the President of the United States.

Of all the questions, I actually thought the Bush question was the most unwarranted.

I thought the gun question was the most unwarranted, and a waste of time that could have been used on a relevant question.

I think the Bush question is relevant because of the impact of his administration on how the world is today, and that there was a lot of distaste for Bush - this person wanted to know what made Romney something new and distinguishable from a President that faced a lot of vitriol from the same party.
