Well that settles it then.

Regardless of outcome, by election day Dick Morris will be clearly wrong. In fact O'Reilly said "if you are wrong you're finished"...so four years from now will Fox News still have this clown on going on and on about how we should ignore the polls and how Clinton/Coumo are being crushed by Ryan/Jindal? In this one case, can a pundit finally have to pay the price for being so spectacularly wrong?

I'm a Republican and Romney supporter and there is NO way that Romney is winning in a landslide, even if he wins.  The electoral math just isn't there.  In fact, I can give three reasons that there won't be a Romney landslide: California, Illinois, and New York.

My general rule is to take whatever Dick Morris says and believe precisely the opposite.

I haven't watched the debate, but this seems so far from the general impression that I have to wonder if Morris didn't write parts of that article before the debate to save time for later.

I'm quite relieved too.

Dick Morris is just scamming conservatives by giving them false hope. He basically says all undecides will break towards Romney. I watched a video of his where says there was a Michigan poll that had Obama at 43% (I think it might have been one of his "polls"), which he said meant that Romney would receive 57%. I'm not making that up.

He's a hack paid by Fox to tell Republicans what they want to hear... Apparently having worked for Bill Clinton means he's somehow 'objective'. It started because he blames Hillary for his exposure and public disgrace... but Bill is still God to him.0

I heard a great story about DM, he was in a hotel lobby in NYC and President Clinton walked in, he ran over to try to talk to him, but Bubba apparently just glared at him and kept walking.

Long and short of it, Dick Morris has no credibility and has burned every bridge back to it, so he has to double down on bats*** ...

The only way that Rmney wins in a landslide is if there is a realignment.

Lovely quote about Morris that I think encapsulates this quite well...

Actually Dick baby, Mittens rather decisively lost the debate, but the good news is that it won't make much difference in my judgment. I say that not having viewed the poll fallout, since I am on the road, and unable to pay fixative attention to politics recently. The landslide thing is something I can't quite wrap my mind around no matter how high I get. What drugs do you use? I'm interested. Have a nice day.

News to Mr. Morris:  There will not be a landslide on either side.  No chance.

We'll see if there is a realigning election.  Some of the macro trends are pointing to it, but they are not hugely predictive.

2010 may have been a "Precursor Election," but as I recently wrote:

"However, elections of similar magnitude predicted nine of the last two realignments over the last 100 years. "

Smiley

There are some other indications, but they are not absolutely predictive.

It's too early for any possible poll fallout anyway.
