Yeah.

I've been to The Marriage of Figaro (Mozart) and Madame Butterfly (Puccini). I'd like to see Samson and Delilah (Saint-Saëns) at some point in the future.

Sister's former housemate is an opera singer, making her Sydney Opera House debut in about a week's time.

My answer should be obvious.

Sister's former housemate is an opera singer, making her Sydney Opera House debut in about a week's time.

How wonderful!

I have listened to/watched several operas (Die Zauberflote, Peleas et Melisande, Wozzeck, etc.), but have never seen one in person.

Numerous times, one of my favourite events, although not as often over the past couple of years. A good friend of mine is a successful opera singer. I used to go to her performances frequently when she was still studying.

Not physically (expensive, expensive), but I sometimes, like, spend 3/4rs of an hour watching it on tv if nothing else is on Sunday at noon time. Does that count?

Relatively amateur productions of Peter Grimes and Iolanthe. Better than you'd expect.

I've seen a rock opera if that counts.

Once. Didn't much care for it, but whatever. Different strokes and such. Local NPR plays a full length opera every Saturday afternoon. Wish they'd change that.

Indeed, Tommy is as close as I would ever want to get to opera.
