Senator your have 24 hours to advocate for this bill.

I have some concerns with the structure of this bill. For instance there is no clarification regarding what in coming Senators can do, and what out going Senators can't. Secondly the bill itself is too boiler plate and think each section should contain the specific paragraph being amendment in each specified resolution.

Lastly, that wouldn't necessary if VP would do his damned job on day 1, like only maybe 1 out of the last 5 have managed to do (you lose count after so long). Tongue

I thought this thing wasn't even going to come to the floor until next month. Tongue

Anyhow, the need for this bill is pretty much already laid out in the preamble.  As we know, last month's committee selection didn't work out as smoothly as we hoped it would and half of the entire session was wasted in determining who would sit on which committees.

I acknowledge the concerns addressed by Senator Yankee and propose this fix-it amendment:

The amendment has passed.

Scott, shouldn't this be a resolution, not an act?

Also, do we need to change the OSPR section on Committees:

I don't think we do after reviewing it, as far as this is concerned. I was concened about it at first. Would you object to a rider being attached hear to remove the struck sentence since having the Chairman control the threads has been deemed functionally more practical? It probably also conflicts with the individual committee resolutions, as well.

I would not; I would be in favor of changing this to a resolution, too, if you feel that's necessary.

I will have that some time tonigh then.

I still think we should just mind crush Nathan if he doesn't start these processes on day 1 of the Senate. Evil (I am listening to BOC, and that tends to provoke a more sadistic side. Tongue).

I throw my full support behind this bill, and I am eager to allow others to do the heavy lifting so it's ready for a final vote.

The amendment is passed.

I might have one more amendment, but if not, are we done here? I will decide whether to pursue it here or elsewhere by tomorrow.

Is that all on this?
