Whoa. The decisive state this year (got Obama over 270 votes), actually closer than New Hampshire, second-strongest trend to Republicans in the country surrounded entirely by states that trended Democratic. Mitt Romney's success was not replicated downballot. What happened here? A fluke? A sign of things to come? Why? Is Connecticut a swing state now? Why were the polls here wrong?

I think Dave's results are out of date - Google Elections have Obama with 58% in Connecticut. Wink

I only looked at the totals on this site and was indeed confused. Even if all the Wall Street commuter guys were for Romney this year, there's not enough of them to create that kind of a swing, and those votes would have been mostly in Fairfield County.
