That isn't the only problem with the grammar of that text. Tongue

I think that is Marokai's fault though. Wink

I don't quite see how the amendment addresses our issues with the bill's infringement of certain guaranteed freedoms...

I appreciate the removal of "ministries" from the text, but I still can't support this bill. Not making a formal objection though.

Nix, would you be interested in revising the end of the text so as to fix the broader problem with the grammar in this amendment as well. I am no expert, but that last and might stand to go away.

If this were to fail, then we would most certainly have to need at least one more amendment to fix the issue with the wording on the bottom part of the current text.

Just in case the previous one fails, this will carry over the necessary format change.

Hope it's kosher to cast a vote on this since my predecessor has already voted - if so I vote AYE on Senator Nix's amendment.

Yes, you may vote, but it isn't an independent action. Since only one person can represent the Pacific as Regional Senator, having two votes from the same constituency would be a problem. So if you vote Aye, it will erase your predecessor's vote of Nay and vice versa.

Of course this becomes complicated when it comes to figuring out the At-Large seats when they all or nearly all change hands like last time.

Ah, I see. In that case, my vote as is stands - AYE on Senator Nix's amendment.

Don't get me wrong, I voted for it too and hope that it passes. I am just taking the opportunity to explain how it works for the viewers who may someday be Senator and those who are Senator but haven't spent the better part of three years making love to various parts of the OSPR. Wink

Aye

Still will not be supporting the bill, but if it really must pass, I'd rather it pass with Nix's amendment.

I am inclined to support this bill, but I am somewhat concerned with the inclusion of transsexuals to what otherwise is a sexual orientation issue. I am well aware of the common "LGBT" parlance but it blurs the issue of "queer" sexual orientation and "queer" gender identity.
