Absolutely appalling, but before the "moderate" or "thoughtful" Republicans in this forum parade in here to disown Sarah Palin for the 100th time, make no mistake, 95% of the Republican Party is at least mildly racist.

LOL I wasn't expecting people to actually defend the blatant racism. Well at least you're honest unlike the Republicans who attack Sarah Palin as an easy target to distance themselves from the bigoted and extreme elements of their party, even though they probably secretly feel the same way or are just kidding themselves about the nature of the party they blindly follow.

It's hard to distinguish between the actual bigots and attention whores. Some people, like Sarah Palin and Donald Trump, even manage to be both. If that's the company he wants, he will be judged and ridiculed accordingly.

What's wrong with hating Sarah Palin? I used to defend her from attacks that I deemed unnecessary and petty, but she's an indefensible troll at this point. Trolls getting negative reactions is the normal response, although in a perfect world they'd just be ignored.

Calling someone a disease for their political venom and bigotry isn't equal to actually being the one to spout said venom and bigotry. I didn't call her a disease though, but I certainly support the term.

Disease isn't a derogatory term and was just used as a metaphor anyway. Nice try with the typical conservative "We're the real victims when we say racist and sexist things" mantra.

It's called observing Republican rhetoric and how they've reacted to the first black president in a histrionic and often racist way. It's not just about his policies at all! Remember, he's a lazy, drug dealing, terrorist sympathizing, Muslim socialist who wants to enslave whites and probably isn't a real American.

And "shuck and jive" is just another example of the blatant racism that Republicans pretend is nothing when people call it out. It is still a racial term to most people, Sarah Palin knows it, and she loves when people defend her by saying it isn't racist because it gives cover to the fact that she was intentionally using coded language to embolden the actual racists who follow her. And that's a fact, jack. Smiley

Normal people don't. Racists/Republicans stuck in the 1940s and 50s do.

LOL at the fact that "Palin is more qualified than Obama" is still being used as a talking point in 2012. It wasn't true in 2008 either just so you know. One major qualification is a basic understanding of the nation's isssues.

Look, I get it. I defended Palin in 2008 because I liked seeing a woman rise to the spotlight and thought many of the attacks on her at the time were unfair and at times sexist. You can see my old posts on this forum defending her! But since then, everything she's said and done has proven me wrong.

At worst, she has the mental capacity of an 8th grade bully and is putting forth a dangerous and divisive view that only appeals to the most gullible of Americans and the darkest elements of society. At best, she's an evil genius who knows what she's doing with the sole motivation of fame and money.

It's probably a little bit of both. Regardless, she is not a serious political figure anymore and any educated individual who defends her at this point is just doing so out of party loyalty, but it really makes you look foolish.
