Did any other election have the "good economy, no war" background that 2000 had? If not, what came closest?

Were any of those elections as boring as 2000 pre-Bush stealing it?

1988 had a relatively good economy and relative peace, and was one of the most boring elections ever (as well as having one of the lowest voter turnouts ever). 1988 will be remembered mainly for its ads: Dukakis in the tank and, of course, the Willie Horton ad.

1960 was pretty similar, wasn't it? Decent economy, popular term-limited incumbent, incumbent Vice President vs. member of a powerful political family, etc.
