Only 1? That does surprise me a bit.

Ha. So do Dems trash this pollster to think they're up by more or accept it (and basically concede Indiana) to hold out hope for a Kerrey upset?

I rather expect Mourdock to win (and perhaps Akin too). I like Donnelly too. Sad

I think Mourdock wins this 50-47. People will forget the whole rape comment controversy before election day, and the Romney coattails will pull him over.

Considering Dems were supposed to lose by 30 in Indiana and 20 in Nebraska one year ago, I'd be glad if we taked only one of them next Tuesday Smiley

Yeah, that's pretty disappointing. Hopefully Donnelly still pulls this off.

The comments garnered a lot less attention and weren't as awful as Akin's. Mourdock probably wins a squeaker.

Mourdock was in the process of taking a 5% to an 8% lead when he made that comment. The comment scuttled that lead and returned the race ot a tie or thereabouts after initial reactions (first few days) put Donnelly ahead by 3% or 4%. At this point, Romney likely drags Mourdock across the finish line, but it is a very shaky proposition and it didn't have to be. Mourdock should be matching Romney's numbers or exceeding them.
