Short of a developmental disability, why would anyone expect Romney to perform best in a county other than Plymouth?

Okay, maybe Mike Johnson is a competent parliamentarian.

Whoever voted for Berkshire or Nantucket is either trolling or doesn't know the state at all.

Romney should do at least 10 points better in Plymouth than in any other county.

Would someone care to explain why Norfolk County has those two random disconnected parts? Is that the result of some colonial-era surveying error? An obscure Indian treaty? A byproduct of partitioning away Maine?

Hingham and Hull were supposed to be in Norfolk when it was split from Suffolk soon after independence but unexpectedly bailed and went with Plymouth instead (I don't know why Cohasset didn't), and Boston and thus Suffolk annexed West Roxbury in the 1870s, cutting off Brookline.

Plymouth is a safe bet. The only question is whether it's winnable for him.

90% chance it's Plymouth, 10% chance it's Barnstable.

More than 70% of you got it right:
Plymouth County is Romney's best county. Still he's lost it 51-48.

It's the most exurban part of the state, and the exurbs are really the only part of New England that's R-leaning, since unlike the rest of the country the rural areas vote D.

Worcester has a bunch of exurbs, but it also has Worcester.  And many of Boston's northern exurbs are actually southern New Hampshire.

I voted at random.
