Those Republicans defending Gallup and their weird polls recently better hope they're wrong on this or else it's curtains for Mitt.  They correctly predicted an 8.1 to 7.9 drop at the end of September (BLS went from 8.0 to 7.8 ).  Now, they say their month to month unemployment in October dropped from 7.8 to 7.0.

If that's true and Obama loses there would be no excuse except racism.

A full percentage point in a month? If it does, I'll vote for Barack.

How many jobs would have to have been created for that to happen in 30 days? Good grief, I hope so.

I think Gallop really needs to hang up its boxing gloves and call it a day.  I mean, it was great while it lasted, but even Joe Louis eventually ran out of steam.

I highly doubt it drops that much, it's ironic this happens before election.

Well, it could still indicate that unemployment has dropped significantly, even if not by that insane amount.

Too hard to believe, but Fox went bonkers when it dropped from 8.1 to 7.8 and all those ex CEOs pumping money into Mitt's campaign accused Obama of fudging the numbers - can you imagine how they would freak out on the eve of the election if this did happen? They might have coronaries right on the air.

What if their prediction is inaccurate?

It's a win-win for Democrats.  If this right, Obama wins re-election.  If this wrong, Gallup is a certified joke and the only poll that shows Obama not winning re-election is a joke pollster.

This would be amazing but this would be the mother of all amazing developments. So no, I don't think Obama is this lucky.

The drop last month you needed a 9% GDP to justify (if you believe they didn't cook the books it's a big outlier), if they say it drops by  roughly a whole point, it's just beyond laughable, nothing at all to support that huge of a drop in one month.

I don't think that's mathematically possible with the rate at which our economy is growing. Math sucks.

Yeah, I hope this is true just so we can see Rick Santelli's head explode on CNBC.

For it to drop that much, there would have to be at least 500k to 1 million jobs created in October.  I call this BS.
